Can I separate the 2 somehow?Īs you might have guessed I am still a bit confused and unsure as to what to do. Is it possible to still copy the in- and outgoing emails to the hard drive even if its set to IMAP? It would also be great to save them into a dedicated folder and not just somewhere in the Thunderbird profile folder to keep the 2 emails clearly apart from each other.ģ) Strato has a dedicated mail archive, any idea how a pop3 setting would interact with that?Ĥ) The new Strato email still has access to the same address books in Thunderbird as the old GMX address. The business mail on Strato using IMAP (for now)

When I make a backup copy of my emails I always copy the entire profile folder because I don't know. It saves the emails somewhere in the mess that is the profile folder, although I dont know in what file or folder exactly- looks really messy. So now I have 2 emails connected to Thunderbird: The Strato email archive is the entire purpose of this. So far all my email contacts have been done over GMX>Thunderbird Pop3 and everything was saved on the hard drive.īecause logging into Strato each time I want to check the emails is quite bothersome, I connected my existing Thunderbird profile to it and set it to IMAP. I recently created a new email address for my business contacts (Strato)
